The source of inspiration: Ray Bradbury's "The illustrated man" (1962 edition)

By the way – Why such na interest in old books cover art? The most interesting notion about the cover art of a book is always the obvious one in which the novel is sold for an image or symbol that can (or should) summarize the story. The illustration should bring at least the tone of the story without being abstract or too cerebral. The classic illustrations came from classic techniques such as gouache, oil or acrylic, so the approach of the artists was rather formal. With the introduction of Photoshop and its derivatives or simply because the original matrix is no longer a piece of paper, it seems to me that an overworked aesthetic has now been created. This modern aesthetic (which will probably last 10 minutes) suggests a kind of saturation of information and theme. This style is also a symptom of our time and a good summary of it.
Note: Not by chance, my old blog it was called "The illustrated man" - in Portuguese "O homem ilustrado"
